  I took my car to them due to a loud noise coming from the drive belt area. They advised me that this was the air con compressor. After getting this changed I noticed that there was still a noise, which turned out to be the drive belt.
  I had taken my car to them twice, first for them to diagnose, and then to have the compressor changed, they therefore would have taken the belt off twice and would have seen the belt was falling to bits!!
  Instead they let me take the car away, and when I mentioned the noise they argued with me for 10 minutes and said I would have to pay labour again!! The noise was a constant squeal as soon as you started the engine, so not like they could have missed it.
  
  I'm not a mechanic, far from it. But I saw the old compressor and it did not spin AT ALL. So surely a professional would think, well as we have the belt off already as this one has been spinning on dry metal for how ever long and it is cracked every couple of mm and so rough you could sand a wall down. We should advise to have this changed at the same time, as it is only £10 for a new belt.
  
  But no, they probably looked at the belt and thought I'd come back and have them change it at some point. NO WAY!
